Bizman 2.14.0 Release Notes

This patch focuses on user experience, platform consistency, and security enhancements. We’ve improved workflows, added smart automations, and tackled important usability fixes across Password Vault, Task Management, Timers, and more.


Password Vault Enhancements

  • Shared Access by Client
    You can now share passwords across your entire organization by client. If a password is associated with a client, all users linked to that client will automatically gain access. You can also manually share credentials with specific users from the new Share button in the Password Vault.
  • Smarter Credential Input & Generator

    When adding a new password, the username field now supports predictive text based on past entries. We’ve also introduced an advanced password generator that lets you define:
    • Number of characters
    • Inclusion of numbers or symbols
    • Password type: Random, PIN, or Rememberable

Timers & Timekeeping

  • Total Paused Field Display Fix
    When viewing Active Timers filtered by “Running,” the Total Paused field is now either hidden or correctly calculated, depending on context.
  • Z-Index Bug Fix
    Fixed an issue where the timer modal overlapped or hid error messages (like reminders). Reminder modals now properly appear above all dialogs.
  • Retainer Clients: Billable vs Non-Billable Clarity
    Clearer breakdown of billable and non-billable hours is now shown in the Client List and Client Dashboard > Hours, not only for Retainers but for all other client types.

2FA & Mobile UX

  • Better Mobile Input for 2FA Codes
    When entering your 2FA code on mobile, the numeric keyboard will now automatically display—no more switching back and forth between keyboards.

Task Management Improvements

  • Mention = Follower
    Users mentioned in task comments or descriptions are now automatically added as followers of the task.
  • Comment Thread Deletion Fix
    Fixed a bug where deleting a parent comment also removed unrelated replies. Now, only the selected comment thread is affected.
  • Text Formatting Consistency
    Resolved formatting discrepancies when saving task descriptions—your indentation and layout will now be preserved.

Platform-Wide UX and Validation

  • Improved Duplicate Detection
    When editing or adding users, duplicate validation now ignores deactivated users to prevent false conflicts. Reactivated users will be prompted to resolve any conflicting data.
  • Client Add Flow Redesigned
    The Add Client form is now a three-step wizard with better structure and clearer notification options. No more overwhelming forms—just a streamlined experience.

  • Client Enable/Disable UX Fixes
    We've simplified the process of enabling/disabling clients and merged confirmation and notification options into one clear prompt to reduce user mistakes.
  • Standardized Delete Confirmations
    All delete confirmation pop-ups across the platform now follow a unified style for color, buttons, and behavior.

Validate Hours & Reports

  • Date Filter Correction
    The "Last Month" filter now displays the correct calendar month in the Validate Hours view.
  • Keyboard Navigation Improvements
    Improved accessibility and usability with better tab and keyboard navigation support.
  • Export Sorting Retention
    Exports from the Validate Hours module now maintain the sort order you've selected (e.g., by date or user).
  • "Is Full-Time" Field Added
    You can now see the “Full-Time” badge displayed for all full-time employees in the following areas:
    • Management → Users
    • All Statistics Reports
