Bizman Latest Update: Version 1.5
Date: August 30, 2024
We are excited to announce the release of Bizman Version 1.5, introducing significant enhancements and new features to improve your experience. This update marks the launch of the Bizman Central App, a centralized hub designed to streamline navigation and access across the platform. Alongside this, we’ve rolled out a series of interface improvements and feature enhancements aimed at boosting usability and functionality, including new UI for the Side Bar Menu, top bar, tools, buttons standardization, our new chatbot for providing support and other optimizations and bug resolutions.
Bizman Central App
We are introducing our new centralized login/register page. This new feature allows users to be linked to different Bizman instances.
With these changes, we've also implemented a new UI for the sidebar menu and top bar and changed the location for some features.
- The new UI for the Sidebar includes the switching account button for users linked to different Bizman instances.
- All the personal and general settings are included in the bottom part of the sidebar (The account icon on the top right corner was removed)
- The Help button included at the bottom of the Sidebar will redirect all users to our Knowledge Base
- Logout button included in the sidebar
We've also modified the UI for the top bar, including a new location for the Timer Button at the top right corner of the screen; this allows us to add the support chatbot at the bottom right corner.
Tasks Attachment Visualization
We've optimized the visualization for attachments in the tasks. Now, users can view the attachments directly in the browser without downloading the file (some file types will still need to be downloaded)
Notifications for users starting timers for Clients with low Bank of Hours
We've enabled new notifications, so users know when starting a timer or manually create a work log for Clients with Bank of Hours near depletion. This way, we avoid working extended hours for clients who have already paid for a specific number of hours.
Bug fixes and other Tasks
Our latest update addresses several key bugs and tasks, enhancing the overall performance and user experience within Bizman. Below is a detailed overview of the fixes and improvements:
- Client Hours Display: Current hours for clients are marked as 0.00 in the Client List. This way, client hours are accurately represented, improving transparency and reporting accuracy.
- SSO Syncing Login States: Issues with Single Sign-On (SSO) login state synchronization have been addressed. Users can now expect a more seamless experience when logging in across different platforms, with login states consistently synced to prevent interruptions.
- Global Logout Functionality: A fix has been implemented to ensure that logging out from one instance of the application will now log the user out from all active sessions, including the central app. This enhances security by preventing unauthorized access from forgotten sessions.
- Impersonation Session Fixes: Adjustments have been made to the impersonation feature, addressing session-related issues caused by changes in the central app. This fix ensures that impersonation functions correctly without session conflicts, maintaining the integrity of the user management process.
- Approve Button Bug in Hours Validation: A bug in the Hours Validation tool where the Approve button was not functioning correctly has been fixed. This enhancement ensures that hours can be validated and approved without any issues, streamlining the approval process.
- Account Switcher Removal During Impersonation: The account switcher has been removed when impersonating a user, preventing confusion and ensuring a more controlled impersonation experience.
- Scrollbar Addition to Sidebar Menu: A scrollbar has been added to the sidebar menu, enhancing navigation and making it easier for users to access menu items, especially on smaller screens or when there are multiple menu options.
- SSO Redirect Enhancement: The SSO login process has been improved by redirecting users from the Bizman login page to the central app login page. This change simplifies the login process for SSO users, providing a unified entry point and reducing the need for multiple logins.
These fixes and enhancements demonstrate our ongoing commitment to refining Bizman’s functionality, ensuring a secure, efficient, and user-friendly platform. By addressing these critical issues, we aim to provide a more stable and reliable environment for all users.
