Bizman 2.8.0 Release Notes

We’re excited to roll out our latest release, Bizman 2.8.0, a significant update incorporating optimizations, new features, and critical bug fixes to enhance platform performance and user interaction.

New Features:

• Improved "Load More Tasks" Functionality: Enhanced Task Board view to load additional tasks in the "Open Tasks" section without affecting "In Progress" and "Queued" sections. Ensures smoother user experience with better task visibility after loading.
  
  

• Task Creator as Follower: Task creator now automatically follows tasks, enhancing task collaboration. Notifications streamlined to be sent only to assignees or followers, reducing unnecessary notifications.
  
  

• Do Not Sell My Data Option: Introduced an easy-to-find option for users to opt-out of data selling, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.

Optimizations:

• Start Date Optimization: Improved logic to set Start Date automatically when changing task status to "In Progress" and allowed setting Start Date independently for tasks without a Due Date.
  
  
• Archive and Deleted Filters: Replaced checkboxes with radio buttons for "Archive" and "Deleted" filters, enhancing usability and conforming to standard UI conventions.
  
  

• Enhanced User Statistics: Improved clarity in "Statistics > By User" menu to display worked hours for each client by selected user.

Bug Fixes:

• Task Creation Issues: Fixed issues with date picker hiding options, menu inconsistency, and error handling for long task names and descriptions. Resolved app crash when dragging tasks with long descriptions.
  
  

• Notification Display Bug: Fixed bug where unread notifications did not display when clicked.

Platform

• Branding Consistency: Corrected references from "BizMan" to "Bizman" throughout the platform for consistent branding.
  
  
  

Task Manager

• Comment and Attachment Fixes: Addressed UX issues with overlapping actions on task comments and fixed bugs related to link attachments altering capitalization.

Statistics

• UI Fixes: Resolved issues with timer description being covered in the "Statistics/User Daily" menu.
  
  

Other Updates:

• Text Updates: Updated registration emails and other text across the platform for clarity and consistency.

Server Provisioning:

• Central App: Provisioned a new server via Forge to handle client and SRPro registrations, ensuring efficient performance.
  
  

Hotfix (to Master):

• Notifications: Standardized titles for notifications to ensure consistency and improved user understanding.
  
  
• Task Description Formatting: Fixed formatting issue in task description editor to preserve tabulation and formatting as intended.
