Creating an Announcement in Bizman

  1. Navigate to Announcements
From the Side Menu, click on “Management" and then select "Announcements" from the dropdown.

  2. Click "Add Announcement" - In the upper right corner, you'll find the "Add Announcement" button.

  3. Craft Your Message - Enter a clear and concise title for your announcement. In the description area, write your message, add an image if needed, and include any important details. You can also add a URL to link to a social media post, company update, or other relevant external source—this step is optional.

    create announcement form

  4. Set to Active - Use Set to Active when you're creating a new announcement and want it to be immediately visible to users upon saving. This makes the announcement public right away as part of the creation process.

Available Actions for Each Announcement

In the Actions column of the announcement list table, you'll find a three-dot icon for each announcement. Clicking this icon reveals the options you can use to manage individual announcements, including Preview, Publish/Unpublish, Edit, and Delete.

Below is a description of what each action does:

  • Preview -To review your announcement before publishing, click "Preview" to see how it will appear to your team.

  • Publish - Use Publish to make an existing, previously saved (but inactive) announcement public. This is done from the announcement list and is useful when you're ready to share a draft or scheduled announcement at a later time.

  • Unpublish - Click Unpublish to remove the announcement from public view. This action will change the status of the announcement to Inactive, but it won’t delete it—you can still edit or republish it at any time from your announcement list.

  • Edit - Allows you to modify the title, description, or link associated with the announcement. If you're editing an active (published) announcement, a prompt will appear: “You are editing a published announcement. Changes will be visible immediately to all recipients.”

Users who have already viewed the announcement will receive an in-app notification informing them that changes were made to a previously viewed announcement.

  • Delete - Permanently removes the announcement from the system. This action cannot be undone, and the announcement will no longer be visible or recoverable.

Announcement Pop-Up Behavior

When an announcement is set to Active or published, it will automatically pop up for users with two options: “Remind me Later” and “Read Update.”

When a user clicks “Read Update,” and the announcement includes a URL, they will be redirected to that link (e.g., a LinkedIn post, company blog post or other external page).

Clicking Remind me Later lets users temporarily dismiss the announcement by choosing from 15 minutes, 1 hour, or Never. The announcement will reappear based on their selected snooze duration until they click “Read Update” or the announcement is set to Inactive.

📌Note: Only one announcement can be set as Active at a time. This ensures focused communication and avoids overwhelming your team with multiple pop-ups.

Tracking User Engagement

You can track user engagement by clicking on the title of a specific announcement from the list. This directs you to the announcement tracker page, where you’ll see:

  • The number of users who have viewed the announcement
  • Users who haven’t viewed it yet
  • The date each user viewed it
  • Whether a user has skipped or snoozed the announcement

📌Note: A user can snooze an announcement up to 2 times only. This helps ensure important updates are eventually seen and acknowledged.
